What we pour

Concrete services

New pour, replacement or repair? We look at the site, the soil and the drainage, then recommend the right mix, thickness and finish.

Other than stamped concrete, you also have another option, which is concrete staining. If you are sick of the old boring concrete, concrete staining can spice up the look of your concrete. If you are interested, you can ask any concrete company in Tucson. But if you want the best, you can call us, The San Jose Concrete Company, instead. We can provide you with great deals that you would certainly love.

Concrete staining has various color options. In fact, the color is one of the most crucial factors in making sure that you yield the best results from the concrete staining. It is important to choose the perfect shade and color that will complement your property. With that, we give our clients the freedom to choose the color that they prefer for the color staining. However, some of our clients feel apprehensive about their personal choices. No worries, because our associates can assist in making the right color decision by carefully analyzing the property. Our team has proper background in design to give you the best recommendations. Very frequently, majority of our clients are fond of deep colors, earth shades, pastel colors, and neutral colors for their respective properties.

We needed to replace our cracked driveway and add a stamped concrete walkway. This team is a good concrete contractor in San Jose. They handled the city permit requirements for the approach perfectly and ensured the drainage was graded away from our foundation. The stamped concrete finish looks high-end and really boosted our curb appeal.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a concrete driveway cost in San Jose?

HomeGuide's national figures for 2026 put a concrete driveway at $6 to $15 per square foot, or $2,400 to $8,600 for a two-car driveway. Those are not our quotes. Bay Area labor, tear-out, base work on clay and the finish set your price. We measure on site and give a written quote.

Do I need a permit for concrete work in San Jose?

The City says repairs and resurfacing on the private side of the sidewalk need no permit. Widening or moving a driveway needs Public Works clearance, and sidewalk or curb work needs a Department of Transportation permit.

Who is responsible for the sidewalk in front of my house?

The property owner. The City of San Jose puts the sidewalk, park strip, driveway approach and curb and gutter on the adjacent owner, at the owner's cost.

Why does concrete crack so much in San Jose?

Because the valley floor is adobe clay that shrinks in the dry season and swells in the wet one. A compacted rock base, steel, control joints and good drainage keep cracks small.

How long before I can use new concrete?

You can usually walk on it after one to two days and drive a car on it after about seven days. It reaches design strength in about 28 days.

Who contacts 811 before digging?

Whoever does the digging. When we do the work, we place the request with USA North 811. California law requires at least two working days' notice, and the service is free.

Do you remove the old concrete?

Yes. Tear-out and haul-away are part of our quote when a replacement is needed.

Can cracked concrete be repaired?

Small cracks and surface damage can often be repaired or resurfaced. Slabs that have sunk or broken up usually need to be replaced. We tell you which applies.
